Training Programs of the National Institute for Training

Since 2002, NIT holds several training programs according to modern training methods and tool. Starting by training needs assessment, designing programs including its training goals, subjects, methods and tools and ending with training evaluation. This aimed at improving the level of training and its impact on employees' performance.

NIT provides the following training programs:
1. Training Path Programs: These programs were developed with assistance of World Bank in 1997. It consists of five levels:
a. Advanced Management Programs (Administrative Leaderships).
b. Middle Management Programs.
c. Qualifying Management Programs.
d. Basic Management Programs.
e. New Employee Program.

These programs were designed to be in parallel with the career path in Jordan public sector, which reflects the instructions of job description and classification.

These programs are based on:
1. The instructions of job description and classification ( career path)
2. Public sector development programs.
3. The career developing programs adopted by Civil Service Bureau.
4. Programs and projects of 'We are Jordan' and the National Agenda.
5. The challenges and problems of performance in the public sector that arouse from inspection reports and regular meetings between NIT and training managers of different public sector institutions through training needs assessment prepared yearly by NIT, in addition to some studies by several public sector institutions.

These programs are called "Supply Driven Training Programs".

2. Special Training Programs These programs are held based on a special request from PSI according to their training needs. Since 2003, the demand for these programs increased gradually because of the development of the training units. The more effective the training units, the more programs they hold in cooperation with NIT. These programs include providing training for participants from outside of Jordan. They compose 65% of the total number of training programs of NIT through the years 2008 -2009. These training programs are called "Demand Driven Training Programs".

3. King Abdullah II Award for Government Excellency and Transparency. These programs started in 2005. Its main role is empowering and training. NIT works with each institution for more than 4 months with the help of five specialized experts in the awards' criteria. Since 2007, NIT worked with seven PS institutions, and in 2008, it worked with six PS Institutions. Currently, NIT is working with five PS Institutions.

5. English Language Programs.
